Ospedale San Raffaele

Description

IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele is a university and research hospital established in 1971 to provide specialized care for the most complex and difficult health conditions. Ospedale San Raffaele was first recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health as a research hospital (Istituto di Ricovero e Cura a Carattere Scientifico, IRCCS) in 1972 for its expertise in diabetes research and cure. The recognition as IRCCS was then extended to the entire field of molecular medicine in 2001.

Since May 2012, Ospedale San Raffaele joined Gruppo Ospedaliero San Donato, the leading Italian hospital group. It is a multispecialty center with over 50 clinical specialties, accredited by the Italian National Health System to provide care to both public and private, national and international patients.

Main tasks and relation to the proposal

OSR is the lead beneficiary of the pilot site 3 work package (WP6), activities are mainly focused on monitoring about energy supply/consumption:

  • review present sensors and install new sensors to capture new range of data to augment background data that could potentially account for energy inefficiencies, contention peaks, unexpected pattern behaviours, anomaly detection and clustered time series energy trend
  • install Machine Learning software for big data mining with adequate computer processing power for deep learning and machine learning algorithms and advanced multivariate statistics capacity for the total OSR Energy Island structure. A high-performance computer to support scalability in data mining and high processing power (e.g., parallel processors with GPUs) would be necessary
