Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), affiliated to the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of Polish Academy of Sciences, is one of the leading ICT research and computing centres in Poland. PSNC provides access to a world-class e-Infrastructure for the scientific community, a specific research and development environment – Digital Science – for “proof of concept” projects, prototyping or large-scale pilot projects. Another branch of our activity is in Digital Industry, which is focused on the creation of innovations based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). PSNC operates an HPC data centre, which hosts the system ranked in the top 100 fastest computers over world.

In RENergetic, PSNC aims together with neighbouring Poznań University of Technology at realisation of a vision of the sustainable and carbon neutral research campus.

The Energy-efficient ICT Department with a dedicated laboratory is involved in the RENergetic project supported by HPC and infrastructure management teams.

Main tasks and relation to the proposal

PSNC focuses on the development of energy island in the Warta Campus, active both as a source of waste heat and provider of software tools and computational resources.
PSNC contributes mostly to WP5, leading 2 tasks, Task 5.2 and Task 5.3 as well as to WP3.
