Poznan University of Technology works to the reconstruction of the internal district heating network located on the campus

Poznan University of Technology is the leader of the Poznan pilot. PUT is in the process of analysis and preliminary design works related to the reconstruction of the internal district heating network located on the campus. Currently, the network is owned by Veolia (partner in the project) and each building connected to the district heating system is separately accounted with the heat supplier. It is planned to create one settlement point with Veolia by building a new heating connection together with necessary infrastructure using heat pumps and waste heat from Altair supercomputer (PSNC – partner in the project). At the beginning, a virtual model will be created, and then a decision will be made on the possible construction of infrastructure.
