Statement by RENergetic consortium on the Russian invasion of Ukraine

In the RENergetic project, we side with the European Commission in expressing our solidarity with the Ukrainian people and our disgust of the war that is taking place, aligning with the statement made by European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen.

We all come from different places and value the progress we are making together as one unique entity. We value our differences and see them as part of a synergy that only produces benefits, both to us and to our fellow citizens.

Using the technological advances that people like us have made before to harm, terrorize and destroy so many people is a desecration of our goals for which we cannot but to express ourselves against this horrifying act that will only cause pain to innocent people.

We hope to a quick and pacific resolution of the conflict and a return to cooperation as means of progress. We have many challenges ahead of us, beyond national interests, so it is key that we understand that the day will come, sooner rather than later, when everybody will have to come together to face our greatest challenges yet or each of us will stand alone to face the burning sun.

We view our project as a truly cooperative effort to build a better world, to bring a necessary change to how we relate ourselves with energy and improve our effectiveness in its use.

The RENergetic team will continue to work towards a brighter future for all of us, regardless of latitude, a future with gentler skies and greener cities.
